cupcakes

To day was just a bad day.  I came into work 7 hours late because I wrote down the wrong time for when I have to be at work.  They where very nice and let me stay the time i thought I had to work. In the end i cut my own hours by 2 and can not be late ever again.  After that was all worked out I started checking people out.

Everything was fine and I was checking people out and it was good day no people.  I was talking and joking with people.  Me and this lady where talking about random useless stuff like with everybody I talk to.  I put her cupcake in her bag and I thought i had them in straight and the no frosting anywhere but the cupcake.  She grabs here bag and puts it in her cart and I  am giving her change when she goes great and I look her cupcakes are tilted with some of the frosting touching the container.  Being nice I ask if they are tilted and she is like yes and freaking out.  I tell her she can go and get new ones and I will take the cupcakes.  You know its not the end of the world.  She stops of the whole 10 feet and gets new ones and then almost forgets her pizza.  Then when I was moving the cupcake out of my way I drop them but they stay closed in the container.  My supervise was like what ever and took the cupcake in back so they can do what ever they do with them.

Why does it really matter if the cupcakes are tilted and touching the side or a little frosting gets moved?  Your just going to eat them and then there will be no frosting.  What is the problem.  I don't see why they have to be perfect.  This lady was acting like the world was going to end.  She was just making my day worse than what it was.

As the day went on some nice customers just made my day 100 time better joking with me and making me smile.  I don't think people see that can just ruin a persons day with words.  Like the cupcake lady. Who was just making my dad worse than it already was.
